Amateur Career:

  • 2009-10 – U.S. National Under-17 - USHL – 22 7 8 15
  • 2009-10 – U.S. National Under-18 - USHL – 10 4 1 5
  • 2010-11 – U.S. Ntl. Development - USHL – 23 12 13 25
  • 2011-12 – U of North Dakota – WCHA - 4 1 1 2
  • 2012-13 – U of North Dakota – WCHA - 40 13 23 36

International:

  • 2010 World U17 Hockey Challenge, Gold Medal, Canada
  • 2010 IIHF World U18, Gold Medal, Belarus
  • 2011 IIHF World U18, Gold Medal, Germany
  • 2013 Team USA, World Junior Championship, Gold Medal

Professional:

  • 2011 NHL Entry Draft
  • Selected in 2nd round #33 overall by Florida Panthers.
  • At 5'6" he's shortest player ever drafted in NHL history.
  • On May 7, 2014 he was drafted by Florida Panthers in the 2nd round (33rd over all) of NHL entry draft

On Rocco's Hockey Style:

"I don't think there's anyone who plays the exact same style of game as I do . . . different guys have different things that they're good at. I pretty much try to take little things from everyone's game and try to do the best that I can with it."

Memorable Hockey Moments:

  • Has won four World Gold Medals in four years
  • Scored two goals for the U.S. in a 3-2 gold medal victory against Sweden in the 2013 World Junior Champpionship.
  • "I was reading the Bible a lot, reading God's word," said Grimaldi. "I know the talent He has blessed me with and I know He didn't bring me here for nothing."

Down The Road:

When his hockey career is finally over Rocco Grimaldi hopes to become a pastor at a church.
