Professional Highlights:

  • In 2003 & 2005 was selected a member of the U.S. President’s Cup team;
  • 2004 selected to the U.S. Ryder Cup squad;
  • In 2005 became the oldest player ever to win The Players Championship and the Skins Match;
  • 2007 he won the Mayakoba Golf Classic to become the first player to win a PGA TOUR event in Mexico;
  • In 2009, after loosing in a playoff a week earlier in the British Senior Championship Funk captured the U.S. Senior Open by six strokes. He has also finished second in this tournament in 2007, 2012 and 2013.
  • Known for having the straightest Tee shot on Tour.
