Becoming a Believer (a Christian)

Are you searching for meaning, purpose and a connection to something or somebody greater than yourself? At a time of so much misinformation and outright lies, are you searching for truth…the real truth? Truth that today is twisted into lies? Truth cannot be relative as many believe today. Truth by its very nature is intolerant of error! Truth is not an ideology or philosophy. Truth is a person! Embracing and accepting the claims of Jesus who said…” I am the way, the truth, and the life…no one comes unto the father God but by me”. Jesus is the way (only way), the truth (so everything he said recorded in the Bible is true) and the life (the new eternal life he gives you to live both now here on earth and then forever in heaven. We prepare for heaven while here on earth, not after we die. If you feel God knocking on your hearts door, remember the door handle is on the inside. Only you can open the door. May we plead you let Him in?

Here are the simple ABC’s of becoming a believer (Christian)

Admit you are a sinner…Romans 3:23..”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”…”There is no one righteous, not even one”
Believe that Jesus died and rose again to pay for your sins
Confess Jesus as Lord of your life, putting your total trust in Jesus as your only way of salvation

Remember…being a Christian is a relationship not a religion…a relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ. Walking with Him…What a journey!

A Simple Prayer of Salvation (Receiving Christ)

“Lord Jesus I need you and I want you. I am sorry for my sins. I accept your offer of forgiveness. I want to turn from my sin. I invite your Holy Spirit to come into my heart right now. As best I know how, I give you my life and make me the person you want me to be”

There is absolutely nothing magical about these words. They are simply an expression of your heart. You can choose your own similar words. Know that God hears and answers your prayer!
