Graham Roxburgh's Biography
Born: March 17, 1971, Calgary, Alberta
College: Wheaton College, BA in History and Biblical Studies 1993
Career Highlights:
1993
- Joined Trinity Western University as an Assistant coach of the Spartans Women’s soccer program
1999
- Named TWU Head Coach
2000
TWU Spartans joined Canadian Interuniversity Sport National (CIS) and with Roxburgh’s leadership have since:
- Won four CIS Championships (2004, 2008, 2009, 2012) and the Gladys Bean memorial trophy
- Won five Canada West Gold Medal banners (2004, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012)
- Compiled a record of 160-66-38 in CIS play
- In 2004 were named Sport BC Team of the Year
- In 2004 were named BC Soccer Team of the Year
In 2012:
- Graham made CIS history as the only coach to win four CIS titles in women’s sports
Graham Roxburgh has been named:
- 2000 BCCAA Coach of the Year
- 2009 & 2011 Canada West Coach of the Year
- 2011 CIS Coach of the Year
- 2009 & 2011 Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s side at the FISA Games in Serbia (7th) and China (5th) respectively
Since 1986:
- Graham has coached Athletes in Action Senior Men’s teams in the Pacific Coast Soccer League and currently serves as GM and Technical Director for Fraser Valley AIA teams in the PCSL
With AIA:
- Graham has coached and played against several national teams from around the world including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, South Africa, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Croatia.
