David's BiographyBorn: November 24, 1984: Detroit, MI Hockey Player – Forward Amateur: Junior A level 2000 - Detroit Compuware Ambassadors, North American Hockey League; Selected to NAHL All-Rookie Team and named Rookie of the Year. 2001 – United States National Development Program; competed for Junior and Under-18 teams in United States Hockey League and NAHL, respectively; a member of the gold medal winning U-18 team during the Internatioal Ice Hockey Federation World Championship. 2002 – On athletic scholarship, played with Michigan State Spartans, Central Collegiate Hockey Association, NCAA 2003-04 – Represented U.S.A. on U-20 National team at IHF World Championship. NHL Entry Draft: 2004: selected 53rd overall by Florida Panthers Opted to finish his four-year college scholarship Professional Career: 2006-07: Rochester Americans, American Hockey League 2006-11: Florida Panthers – National Hockey League: 305 games; in his best season (2008-09) Booth scored 31 goals before being injured with a concussion. 2011-14: Vancouver Canucks – NHL: 68 games 2014 -: Traded to Toronto Maple Leafs on November 21, 2014 Academically, Booth studied dentistry while attending MSU before switching to General Management.
